We’ve asked their ‘people’ to confirm this, and not heard back, so we’re going to go ahead and tell you anyway. In good news for Parade, The Wanted and various others we talk about a lot, lot, less on teentoday.co.uk it looks very unlikely that One Direction will be releasing their debut single 13th March as originally rumoured by a mediocre teen website*.

In fact, using our powers of deduction (and this tweet) it looks like Harry, Niall and co were lined up to record the Official Comic Relief Single before they dropped out and The Wanted stepped up to the plate.

Realistically there were probably 100s of factors in this decision including label politics, recording schedules and who has the biggest nipples.
