The man in charge of writing songs for both One Direction and Cher Lloyd's debut albums has revealed what fans can expect from the X Factor stars debut recordings.
Savan Kotecha, who worked on the 2010 series of X Factor, compared Cher's work to the solo album Black Eyed Peas star Fergie released whilst saying One Direction's sound was 'experimental'.

Speaking about the tracks on Cher's album, Savan said: "There's some hard ones, some vulnerable ones and some fun, silly ones and she just delivers on every one. We were just so impressed."
Adding: "I would say there's probably a little more singing than rapping. I don't want to give away too much about the first release, but that's going to be a mix of both"

As for One Direction, Savan told Digital Spy how: "For them it's just going to be experimenting with a few things - they're going to be fine. They've got some really good songs."

"The stuff I've heard has been really catchy and everyone loves the guys, so it's just about capturing that in the music, which I think is what they're going to be doing."
One Direction are due to release their first single in June whilst Cher's album is due in August, preceded by the single 'Swagger Jagger'.
