One Direction have confessed they were scared of being attacked by crocodiles when filming their new video in Lake Placid, New York.
The X Factor boyband, who are said to have caused havoc on the set of the promo for second single, Got To Be You, claim they were worried they would end up dead like the characters in 1999 horror movie, Lake Placid.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Liam Payne revealed: "We shot the video in Lake Placid in upstate New York. There aren't actually any crocodiles there - that's a myth."
He continued: "There was a lake by our hotel and we went kayaking to find out. When Niall [Horan] turned the boat over I freaked out because I thought I'd be eaten by an alligator like in the movie!"
When asked about their new track, Louis Tomlinson revealed that it's "a little bit different" to their debut single, What Makes You Beautiful, explaining: "Like the first one, it's something that you wouldn't necessarily expect us to release."
Zayn Malik added: "It's a bit more emotive than the last one, but I wouldn't say it was a Christmas ballad. I think it's going to surprise a lot of people."
In other 1D news, the lads are apparently at the centre of a record label bidding war Stateside, with The Sun reporting they have attracted some of the biggest names in the North American music industry - including X Factor USA judge and Epic Records boss, L.A Reid.
It is thought meetings are being held this week between their management and US label bosses in order to decide who Harry, Liam, Niall, Louis and Zayn will sign a contract with.
