One Direction grant 36 wishes for Rays Of Sunshine

36 seriously ill children were given the best Christmas present ever on Tuesday 9th December, when they met, global superstars, One Direction at a special event organised by Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity.


Amongst the children were Effy (5), who is currently awaiting a heart transplant, and Harriet (15), who is currently living with Cystic Fibrosis, who arrived by ambulance from hospital to meet the world’s biggest boy band.
The special fans were given the chance to ask their idols questions, which included: “Will you marry my sister, Niall?”; “Who is the best singer in the band?” and “Who do you want to win the X Factor?”



Teen, Ellie-Leigh, who is currently living with a heart disease, was treated to an exclusive One Direction rendition of Happy Birthday, ahead of her 16thBirthday at the weekend.



All children had the chance to have their picture taken with the boys, before leaving with a One Direction goody bag which included a signed One Direction T Shirt, two tickets to the 2015 tour and a 30ml bottle of One Direction’s Fragrance, You and I donated by Rays of Sunshine’s supporters The Fragrance Shop.
 After the wish One Direction tweeted:

“Had an amazing day with Rays of Sunshine yesterday and met some truly amazing kids and families. Thank you all so much for coming down!”
